Licensing Simulant

There are 3 different ways to license Simulant, depending on your situation:

  1. LGPL 3.0+ License
  2. Simulant Non-Commercial License
  3. Simulant Commercial License

LGPL 3.0+ License

  • You must abide by the LGPL 3.0+ obligations.
  • You cannot statically link to Simulant unless your project uses a compatible free software license (Dreamcast builds use static linking).
  • You can't distribute custom changes to Simulant without releasing those under the LGPL 3.0+.

Simulant Non-Commercial 1.0

  • There is no charge for this license.
  • You must register your application.
  • Allows you to distribute your application with a statically-linked copy of Simulant, provided you do not charge for the distribution of the application.
  • Custom changes to the Simulant library must still be released under the LGPL 3.0+.
